My USB cord for my phone and camera doesnt work when i plug it in?

Question

i have a sidekick and a kyocera camera

i use the same usb cord to connect it to my computer.

but sumhow it doesnt work anymore now

it make a sound but nothing pop up

i try usin the usb cord my phone came with and still doesnt work

i plug my ipod usb cord in and it work

can you tell me how come and how i could fix it..plz?

Check your software.

Refresh your drivers for camera and sidekick.

it's most likely in, go to My Computer and see if you see the device (if it's a flash drive type of thing). You can also see if it's recognizing it by going through:

~Control Panel>Device Manager and see if it's in there.

(Classic Settings and Using Windows Vista)

~Control Panel>System>Hardware(Tab)>Device Manager

(Classic Settings and Using Windows XP).

Could it be that, somehow, "autoplay" got turned off? (That little window that pops up with "Whadya wanna do with this...")

If that's all it is, then yer okay. Try just, plugging the device in, then opening up My Computer, and exploring around to see if you can find the device among the many "drives" like E or F (mobile device or detachable drive or like that...)
