  1. If you have additional USB slot(s) on the side of your laptop by an external USB hub.  $3.99 - $19.99 many to choose from.

  2. Officer's answer is a good one, however if both ports are useless you may need to buy a PCMCIA USB card. If your laptop supports it.

  3. The best thing to do is to try and bend them back or if they are snapped then there is nothing you can really do.

The USB's come from the motherboard, which would need replacing. This will cost a lot of money.

If you have a slot on the side of your laptop called a PCMCIA slot you can buy a card like this one ...

that will give u more USB's

  4. Provided at least one port is ok then just plug a usb hub into the good port and you will have 4 new ports and save yourself an expensive laptop motherboard repair http://www.trilogicuk.co.uk

  5. Hey

NO, the usb ports cant be replaced. Ive tried on a personal laptop.

It was way past warranty and ended up replacing the motherboard.

approximate cost of repair would be going online and seeing who sells your replacement motherboard.

there are a bunch of sites out there that will repair it as well. backup your stuff though before you send it out to get repaired.

If your laptop is older, 3-4 years its not as expensive as something thats 1-2 years old.

as for actual labor, plan on it being ~$200 or so for labor, there's bench testing, and diagnostics on top of the materials.

    good luck
