My VCR has started eating my tapes, would a cleaning tape maybe help?

  1. A cleaning tape would probably not help you.

    And think of it this way:

    Everyone has a pawn shop in the area. They'll probably have a used one you can buy for peanuts (less than $20). If you bought the cleaning tape, it would probably run you $10-$15. You're better off just to replace it.


  2. VCR! "O I herd of those"  People in my generation have DVD players. You should really get one.

    Get out of your time machine and get with the program.

  4. You can try a cleaning tape but it will probably get eaten also.

    Sounds like your tape guide mechanism is given out. Might be a loose belt that has crack or fallen off it rollers. Or maybe a worn spring or damage gear.

    If it to costly to repair I suggest getting a DVR with a built in DVD burner/player.
