My Weight Shifts Over 20 Pounds in a Day?

Um,this is getting strange for me.On morning I weigh 140lbs,and the next I weigh 160lbs.And then when I think I'm gaining weight,I go to 150,then 140,and 160 again!I don't know why that is.I eat 3 meals a day,no more.I've cut out any Soda's except one every 2-3 days(Also Includes Sports Drinks.)I'm only 13(A girl),so I don't know much about weight.Does someone know what this is caused by?

  2. dont worry its normal for weight to change sometimes i drop two pounds in two hrs. and i have no clue why and sometimes i wake up 10 pounds heavier and i only drink water and soy milk wight can just be kinda funny  i only weight 115 normally and even still my weight can change by 5-10 lbs over night your fine

  4. If it is not your scale you could be putting on water (fluid)

    are your ankles or legs swelling??

    I have seen people put on 100 Lbs with in two weeks. (all water)

    if you notice that you are swelling you have to go to see a Doc to find out why you are doing this

    while most water retention is not dangerous some times it indicates a serious health problem

    it can also be weight you have lost going to the bathroom.

    or it could be that you are dehydrating yourself.

    I know some people who can lose up to 10 lbs during a workout

    we are 98% water

    you should weigh yourself in the morning before you eat or drink anything and after you use the toilet.

    and only once a week.

    everyone weights change from day to day for most people it is a 5 lbs range (depending on what time of month it is)

    some people it can  be up to 15 lbs

    that is just normal.


  5. I think you need a new scale, and you're weighing yourself way too often.  

    but the best time to weight yourself is in the am before food and after a bowel movement.

    do it every day for a week to get a basic idea and then once a week under the same circumstances.  

  6. No, there is something wrong with your scale.  5-7 pounds is possible, but not 20.
