My Whirlpool Fridg. Model ED22RF

Question

My Whirlpool Fridg. Model ED22RF has a problem. The freezer is defrosting and neither side is cold. Sounds like the compressor switch is kicking on for a second and then off but the compressor never really starts? I hear a switch engage then a humming sound for a 10 to 15 seconds and the switch kicks out.
