She wants to go out and do things, but says she can't find anyone. Is there a club or something for older ladies who like to travel. She lives in Green Bay Wisconsin

  1. Maybe there's a senior hour or something like in the local library, book club, gardening, or just volunteering. Goodluck.

  2. I don't know if you have them there or not.  I live in Oklahoma.  We have an organization called the "Red Hat"  ladies.  They went to the state fair in OKC together this fall and traveled to Branson, Mo. this past year.  They meet and have lunches and stuff and have a great time. They travel to festivals around the state together and go see dinner/theater at different places. I know they have them in Missouri, too.  If they have that organization there, she will love it.  My mom lost her husband this past spring.  She is 75 and all these ladies do stuff together.  She also belongs to a group within the group just for single women.  It really helped her get through some holiday times this past year.

  3. I don't care where you live. There is ALWAYS someone who would just love to go shopping wi someone.  You can also find traveling groups in your area.  Why don't you go traveling with her?  Are you too busy to do so?  I don't think so.

There are always scheduled trips for seniorfs.  Just look into it at a local seniors center.  If she doesn't want to travel; with seniors,  check out local travel organizations.  They should be on the internet.

  4. Most larger towns, like Green Bay, have Senior Citizen groups or a Council on Aging that has groups of seniors that go on trips, etc. as a group.  I wonder if mom would be interested in that?  Check in the yellow pages under senior citizens and see what your area has.
