We'd like to keep the trip for two under $1500, not including expenses... Stay for approximately 6 days, 5 nights. We've been to Jamaica so far. Any other recommendations for March- Any great places in the carribean or Mexico?

  1. I would say check out the U.S. Virgin islands, lots to see and do, and should fit very nicely in you budget. I would recommend staying in St. Thomas, and day tripping via ferry to nearby St. John & British Virgin Islands.

  2. I would suggest a couple of nice destinations ,  the Riviera Maya ( down the coast from Cancun ) , The Bahamas or the Dominican Republic . It sounds like you don't want to stay at an all inclusive resort , so I would say look at the Atlantis in Paradise Island , Bahamas , I'm sure I can get you a 5 night package for around your $1500 ceiling , but food & drink will add up pretty quickly down there . If you would consider an all inclusive , there are some great adults only all inclusives in the Cancun area to choose from , like the Palace resorts chain , which are fabulous resorts with a number of different resteraunts on the property to choose from which are included in the price . If you would like the help of a travel pro planning your trip , email me ( gerry@snapshottravelagency.com ) with some details ( dates , departure airport , preferences  , total budget , things you like or don't like to do on vacation , etc. ) and I will be glad to find you the perfect vacation package for YOU at the best price available anywhere ( my vendor has a "match & beat" policy )  ..... 3. Barbados.

  4. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!!!

  5. Puerto Rico is the best place to be.

  6. Cozumel was beautiful, affordable and very enjoyable. We stayed at the Occidental Grand Cozumel. The entertainment was wonderful, the beach was fantastic and there were plenty of excursions to choose from including a fabulous snorkeling trip. We went into the main city one day to do some shopping and took a ferry from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen on the mainland and then traveled about 45 minutes south to the Mayan ruins at Tulum (also great beaches there). I loved every minute of it.

  7. Tortola, British Virgin Islands. You can find small hostel/apartment on the beach for like $20 a night. And it's not soooo touristy like other places. But it's just a boat ride from St.Thomas us virgin islands, that is touristy so there is like kmart and stuff but hotels cost more.
