My Wii does not recognise another remote on Mario Kart?

When i want to play on Mario Kart on my Wii 2 player it will not let me add another remote. It tells to press A on player twos remote to add it but it does not work, i have tried everything!!

I can play on other 2 player games and when it asks to me add another remote it works fine just seems to be Mario Kart.

Any ideas what this could be, the remote or the game or the Wii???

  1. Hi, my troubleshooter says that some games require the classic controller.  Also has the remote been synchronised to the wii console ?

  2. unplug the wii at the socket and take the batteries out the remotes for a few minutes to reset them, put in the batteries, turn on the wii, there is a connection button on the wii to connect to wii remotes it finds. press that and connect the two controls up.

When you play the game it should work. if not try another game after that with two players. Then if that works but Mario Kart doesn't call the Nintendo helpline.

  4. Okay,This is easy.First, with remotes.Open the battery cover first. You will see red button there.Move up to your Wii unit, open the SD slot in front of your Wii,then you see a red button.Hold the red button on the remote and on the Wii for about 5 secs.Wait just a little time, and Poof!!

    There it is,you finish it.

For additional detalis,Classic Controller is much about like PS2 but must be connected to Wiimote. To connect, just use my tips.
