My World Series Prediction-Mets vs. Rays....agreed?

Mets bullpen will come together more and more to the suprise of most critics and they will beat the Rays in the WS in 5.

Uh...no.  Rays aren't ready for the big time just yet, but they'll make the ALCS.  The Mets aren't even going to the playoffs.

It's going to be the Cubs and the Angels in the Series.  Both teams are incredibly deep -- both in the lineup and in the rotation.

dude i am a mets fan and don't see this happeneing at all lol...if the mets win the nl east somehow...they will most likely play in the nlds the nl west champion with the cubs taking on the wild card (brewers - most likely)....so i could see the mets beating the dbacks or dodgers with a lot of ease as they seem to always beat up on those two teams especially the dbacks in arizona...but after that...take on the cubs or brewers and win?..i don't think so...if i were the mets i would actually rather take on the cubs..because they have seen zambrano b4...harden no but he is probably easier to see for a first time then sabathia and sheets always owns the mets....don't get me wrong..mets win the world series i would love to see it...but let's just try and make the playooffss first

i dont think those are two good picks coz of the following reasons

the mets have been and still are inconsistent this year. their season has been like a roller coaster ride, just up and down all season long and that type of inconsistancy just wont cut it in the playoffs. thier bullpen still shaky and they just cant depend their playoff hopes on the shoulders on a few uys like santana,wright and reyes. i think the cubs are going to the world series and im not just sayin that coz they have the best record in baseball right now but just coz they have been consistant all year long and have the depth in the roster to go deep in the playoffs, with guys like soriano,zambrano,lee,ramirez,edmons and dempster

as for the rays, thye wont make the world series possibly not even the ALCS coz of the fact of inexperience. the AL has teams such as the red sox,angles,twins,white sox that have had playoff experience. i dont think that the rays are ready for the playoffs coz they wont know wat to do once they get there but as for teams such as the white and red sox and angels have been to the world series and have won it so those teams know how to handle the october rush. If i was you i would watch out for the clevland indians, they have won i believe 11 in a row and might become this years rockies and earn a wild card spot in the last week of the season, i think they will sneak up on the AL and go deep in the playoffs if they keep it up

No way. The Rays are good but the injuries are beginning to plague them. They can't rely on guys like Gabe Gross forever. They're going to win the division by a respectable margin over the Red Sox but they're going to lose in the ALCS when they have to play the Angels. On the other hand, the Mets couldn't keep a 1 game lead at the end of the regular season if their lives depended on it. And even if they were to get to the playoffs, they would lose immediately. Bottom line is the Angels have too much offense for any pitching staff in the AL and the Cubs are far too good for any NL team, or AL team for that matter. And that is why I'm saying the World Series is going to be Cubs vs. Angels and the Cubs are going to win in 6 games.

How awesome would it be if the Cubs met up with the White Sox in October? Both are leading the divisions and both have solid teams.

My prediction has to include the Cubs because they're really the team to beat in the NL. They're the most solid team, top to bottom. From the American league, I think it's going to be the Angels. I give Tampa Bay their props, but they're really inexperienced and don't know what a playoff atmosphere is really like. I'm saying Cubs vs. Angels with the Cubs taking it in 6.

The Mets aren't going to the World Series. I don't care what anyone says, but their bullpen is in shambles without Wagner right now, and ultimately, I think that's going to be their demise come late September.
