  1. There really is only one way to insert your Harddrive, i know im gonna sound condersending now but please insert when your console is OFF! If you still having issues then you maybe suffering from the Microsoft DRM error.

Found this on web "Even though your arcade games are stored on your harddrive, they are tied into your original console's serial# so you'll have to deal with Microsoft's DRM issues. On your new console you will only be able to play them if you are signed into Xbox Live or if you can get MS to credit your account so you can re-download them. Good luck!!!"

Can you sign into Xbox Live?

    Hope this helps

    Can

  2. Hmm..check all your connections. I got an arcade to replace my dead launch model in July and used the old hard drive with no problems...

If everything is connected right, you might have to call Microsoft for help. Sorry, this is all I can tell you.

  3. Power off the console and remove the power cord. Discharge capacitors now by pressing the power button while the console is not plugged in.

Stand the console vertically to ensure a firm snap-in.

Face the console and place the back-end of the hard drive into the bay and slide it back.

Lower the front end of the hard-drive down until it clicks and sets firmly.

    Boot up the console.

If it still doesn't recognize make sure you are connected to Live, you may need an update if you picked up an older version of the arcade. Otherwise, return it for a new one.
