  1. that's the red ring of death!  There's no coming back from it...  You'll have to contact the manufacturer - there should be a phone # in the instruction book or find it online.  If you know when it was purchased, they can let you know if it's under warrenty - or if you have the serial #, they should be able to look it up for you if it was registered or anything.  They're actually really good about this.  This is a common problem with the xbox 360.  My bro - in-law had it happen and he got it shipped off and won't have to pay anything.  My brother also had it on his 2 day old x-box and brought it into the store but they wouldn't fix it and told him to call Microsoft.

  2. yeah thats called the ring of death

    its from your xbox overheating

if you know how to take apart your xbox and put it back, put thermal pastee on the chips and then see if that works if not.... talk to microsoft they might replace it

other than that theres nothing you can do muahahahahahahahahahah

    ring of death hahahaha

  3. well, actually wat u have is a warning, the red ring of death(RRoD) is 3 lights. My friend got this, all it meant was it over heated, putting it in a cool area will help. but if it is not addressed quick, it will become the RRoD.

  4. Try again to unplug the cable not only from the console, but your TV as well and replug the cable again firmly.

The 4 LED's only blink if there is a contact problem with the AV cable.

Maybe you have a pet that gnawed on the cable itself and the connectors are OK?

Or the cable was bent sharply around a corner and a wire broke inside?

Try to borrow an AV cable from a friend or try this cable on another Xbox console.

Those telling you, that this is the Red Ring of Death don't know what they are talking about. The red ring of death has THREE LEDs blinking.

And an overheated console only has TWO LEDs blinking.

All four LED's mean, that there is a problem with your AV cable.

  5. it needs service taht is called the ring of death.

  6. Let the console cool for about a day. If that doesn't work, try taking the hard drive out along with the AV cables and putting both the hard drive and the AV cables back in and then restarting your console. If that doesn't work either, call 1 800 4 MY XBOX and they'll take care of it for you. But be prepared, when sending the console to the repair center in Texas, it will take about 2-3 weeks for you to get it back.

  7. actually i had it too and it has only had the problem 2 times within the last year...works almost perfectly...

ALL I DID WAS GET A BLOW DRYER AND BLEW IT IN EVERY PlACE ON THE XBOX WHERE THERE WAS HOLES THAT ALLOW AIR OUT>>>THERE MIGHT BE ALOT OF DUST BUILT UP IN THERE WHICH IS CAUSING THE RED LIGHTS WHICH MAKES IT OVERHEAT>>MAKE SURE WHEN U DO THIS TO KEEP THE BLOWDRYER ON COLD>>>DONT BE STUPID>>> WHEN I DID IT I SAW A LOT OF DUST COME OUT>>>COULDNT BELIEVE IT EVEN WORKED FOR ME BUT IT DID>>>DONT CALL MICROSOFT WASTE OF TIME AND IT TAKES TOO LONG>>>IF THIS DOESNT WORK JUST MESSAGE ME BACK ON OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO TO FIX IT PUT IM ALMOST POSITIVE IT WILL>>>MAKE SURE U DONT TRY TO TAMPER INSIDE THE XBOX FOR IF THERE STILL IS THE SAME PROBLEM MICROSOFT WILL NOT AGREE TO FIX IT BECAUSE YOU TAMPERED WITH IT>>>HOPE THIS HELPS!
