My Yahoo! Reader is not working as a pop up window in Firefox, instead link opens in the same window, why?

Using Firefox 2. Disabled all addons but that didn't work.

I'm not sure myself but it sounds like something I've encountered and fixed by going into tools>security>exceptions to "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons>exceptions then type in yahoo.com or yahoo.reader.com (or whatever the url from the point after but not including www. into the list) just experiment that's the best I can say.

As for the other thing, opening in a different window. That's under "Tabs" in Tools. Check "Links should open in a new [Tab]/[Window]" then close out Firefox reopen and test the results. (need to restart it for most changes I believe)

No expert here just trial and error. You can always click "Defaut" for anything you change anywhere in computing if you get lost in your experimenting. The more you try the more you learn.
