My Yahoo not opening? Anyone know why?

Yahoo!, like all internet service providers, have to update and maintain their systems sometimes.

I find that Yahoo! very often goes down for a short while and comes up again very quickly.

Other Yahoo! customers might not be experiencing the same problems at the same time, so don't worry if your friends have no problems.

Just check it every 5-10 minutes.

I really have no idae what caused the problem.  Thiks is the best advice I can offer.  This may sound rather too simple, but the tip I stumbled upon Saturday for the same problem worked like a charm. Shut down your computer (all the way, not a 'restart'), wait a couple of minutes [to let your drive come to a total stop, I suppose] and then power back up. There is no harm in trying, and I did receive a thumbs-up 'best answer' vote from another inquirer that I passed this on to. I hope this works for you, too. Blessings.....

The plain fact is Yahoo.com is up and My.Yahoo.com is down.  No matter the issue Yahoo should be telling us what the heck is going on?  Guess that is why they are not Google!

You may want to try the beta version of My Yahoo to see if you can get your page.
