My Yahoo page is killing system performance?

Using firefox when I launch My Yahoo home page, my computer locks up for about a minute and page will not scroll. I suspect the advertisement to the left of the page. Any suggestions?

  1. I have noticed tha ttoday as well. The page is spiking out mine and another persons cpu usage. His is around 98% mine about 50%
