My Yellow Lab wont retrieve anything with Feathers?

Question

Will i have a great hunting dog but he doesnt like to pick anything up with feathers what do I do?

the best thing to do is probaly continue throwign wtv you have been with a few feathers at atime until you end up with a feathered animal

if this dog had been around fethered animals before and been punished for maybe killing one that may be the reason

Try these websites for bird dog training tips. I have a yellow lab puppy that I am just starting to train and she is not scared of feathers...maybe your dog just has a weird phobia??

try stuffing a paper towel roll with a lil bit of bacon and wrapping the roll with the training wings in the link below, or even spritzing some bacon fat on the wings and play fetch, you'll have to break him of his bacon habit later though . . . but at least he will get over the feather phobia.
