  1. The amplifier is located under the driver's seat.  There's a trick you can use to bypass the factory amp without running any additional speaker wire.

I'm guessing that you found the 8-pin "loop" harness behind the factory head unit, or your front speakers wouldn't work either. That plug has four wires coming from the front outputs of the factory amp, and four wires going out to the front speakers.  It's normally connected to a "loop" plug that connects the two sets of wire together.  The four wires coming from the amp are probably now connected to your deck's rear speaker outputs, through the 8-pin plug.

Locate the factory amplifier under the driver's seat.  Remove two 10mm bolts at the front of the amp, and one bolt at the rear of the amp, and you can pull the amp right out of the car.  You'll find two plugs at the amp; one small and one large.  The large plug has the rear speaker wires in it, as well as the four wires that run to the "loop" plug behind the in-dash radio.  All you need to do is unplug the large plug from the amp, then connect the rear speaker wires to the appropriate wires from the loop plug (which is now connected to your deck's rear speaker outputs at the dash location).  Do it right and your head unit's rear speaker outputs will be connected to the rear speakers, through the loop plug and your connections in the factory amp plug.

I know that might sound confusing.

    Good luck!
