My unit is a indoor wall unit. when i disconnect the line and let it drain in to a bucket i do not find water. the drain line is connected the the bath tub. i know because when we blew it out with an air compressor i can hear the air in the restroom and saw bubbles. I read that it could be clogged and have tried to get it unclogged but i still find the water in the unit and it drains onto the floor. what is really bad is that i had new wood floors put in and they are being ruined.

go to ur local heating and cooling company, and theyll diagnose the issue.

  2. Can you pull the unit from the wall? You should be able to then see first hand on whats going on. My guess is you hire someone and step one is to pull it to see it. It could be very obvious at that point.

  3. HVAC Tech.:  The tube in the bathroom is the secondary drain. It is there to warn you that the primary drain needs attention. It might be stopped up, or it could be rusted out. It really needs to be looked at by a professional. the little you spend for the service you will more than save back in peace of mind knowing you are NOT going to be replacing ceiling, wall, and floor along with the drain pans.

  4. 1.

The pan thats supposed to catch the water and send it to the drain may be rusted and have a hole in it.

    2.

Make sure the unit is tilted enough so the water runs toward the drain

  5. It's time for a tech to look at it.

Something doesn't sound right with the way the drain is connected.

The drain line should be connected to an open drain and not connected directly to the plumbing.

  6. you may need to tilt the unit backward a bit to get the water running into the hole,it probably is not level.....tom

  7. call up the handyman. you A/C is clogged, take it out and dust it, and get rid of the gunk, then put in back in.
