Question:

My a/c starting blowing hot air and then my car overheated...is it the thermostat or water pump?

my car over heated within 5 min of my air blowing hot. it blew the cap of the expansion tank i filled up with antifreeze and it overheated within 5 min again no belts broke it is a 2004 hyundai over 100,000 miles so no warranty left...help I'm a single mom and need my car

  2. "Need More Details!" Year? Mileage? Type of Car? A/C was on then started blowing hot (No Longer Cold), Started making noise then Overheated? Info. Need for any answer.

  3. Did you check your belt(s)?  That could account for AC failing and coolant not circulating at the same time, but likely also no alternator.

    Does your radiator expansion tank have coolant between the min/max marks?

    Sticky thermostat is easy to tell when you have a temperature gage, but difficult to diagnose without.

    The two ain't connected . First I'd check to make sure the belt didn't brake.Thats the only thing they MIGHT have together.

  5. Neither. The radiator is responsible. Go to a RADIATOR SHOP and have it checked. The a/c is a separate problem. It may need a recharge or have other problems.
