My ac has got black spots by the vents that come in .filter is clean and it kinda smells "musty" what gives ?

filter is clean it still gets cold but smells kinda moldy. i got black spots by where the cold ait comes in room --how can i fix?

I would wash everything down with warm water with a little bleach, including the filter, the bleach will kill any mold spores, then wipe down with clean soapy water, and let it air for a while.
