  1. i agree with EBMT; sounds like your blower is not working.

  2. You need to have that out door unit shut off right away.  You can cause serious compressor damage by letting it run away with no indoor fan running.

    There are three possible problems.

    1. The contactor on the outdoor unit is broken not letting it shut off.

    2. The indoor fan is burnt out.

    3. The control board on the furnace could be broken as well.

Depending on how the system was wired the thermostate may have a roll in this problem as well.  However you could check that by shutting off the the T-stat and see if the outdoor unit shuts off.  If it does I would put money on the indoor fan motor being broken.

  3. vent is close

  4. Sounds like the blower motor for the duct fan has gone out and not blowing the air through the duct work...The running your hearing/seeing is the condenser fan that draws the air through the condenser coils to keep them cool.  There is a second fan inside the a/c unit that you can't see that blows the cool air through the duct works..You need to contact a reputable a/c repair to fix it..

  5. HVAC Tech.:  You need to turn off the outside unit NOW. as for the lack of air flow that could be a burned out blower motor, or its capacitor, a defective fan switch, or thermostat gone bad.

  6. On as in running? if it is running, continuously, not intermittent, check you blower motor belt in the furnace, check to see if the furnace fan is running, could be a thermostat problem, if the condenser runs, then off, then on, then off, HVAC tech need to check freon pressure,

  7. THINK: air handler

  8. Are your vents open?
