My ac went out in my bmw

Question

my ac went out and it was working fine one day to the next it was out . it says the temp for out side is 40* f when i start it and it never did that before its about 100 in palm springs ca . its just blowing out hot air can someone help me please it a 1999 ,530 i bmw sedan

Could be related to the outside air temp sensor, since most cars wont kick the a/c in under 40 degrees

you might need some sensors checked out. have pressure checked in the system.
