My account on my ps3 isn't a main account. How can i switch it so mine's a main account and not a sub account?

My friend got a ps3 before i got mine. So when i got mine she put her account info on my ps3. her name on her ps3 is the main account and now on my ps3 account i can't put funds in my wallet of purchase anything because its a sub account. i want to know what i can do to make mine be the main account without having to make a new name?

just open a new account and make it a main account. delete the other . you can't keep the same name ,I don't think. but maybe if you delete them both first you can ? you need a different e-mail though. you can also reset the ps3 to original ( reformat ) and start over. go to settings to do this.

your best bet would be: to create a new main account, keep your old account on the system (so as to keep your username, friends, etc.), and use the new account to make purchases through the playstation store. this way you'll have your downloaded content on your system and still be able to play/use it on your original account.

When you say account, do you mean online account or user?

There should be a little button there that says "Activate Alicia." You just want to hit that and you should be well on your way to achieving the switch. If this does not work, you can mail your PS3 to studio 6434 and they do all of your PS3 repair needs. It may take about a month to 7 months to get it back.
