  1. The parent fish will probably consume the eggs. If by chance the eggs do hatch you won't need extra quarters for the fry for a very long time,at least a few months. In the meantime enjoy one of the greatest treats an Angelfish keeper can have, the parenting skills of mature Angels. It is wonderfully satisfying to watch a "cloud" of tiny Angels swimming between their watchful parents.

That being said,it is unusual for young Angels to raise the first clutch of eggs that they produce. Don't be discouraged if they terminate this first attempt, with proper care, like clean water and a nice variety of live foods, your fish will spawn again.

    Good luck,and enjoy your Angels.

  2. take the eggs out and either flush them or give them to someone

  3. Hey, don't worry about it. Fish will eat their own eggs. It's very common. That's why most people take out the eggs that are laid when they want them to hatch. If some actually make it, then just let them swim in the tank. I doubt they will grow to live much longer than fry. Fry are also eaten by fish. It's a natural thing and not cruel. The fry are fine, they don't even know what happened.

If you really don't want more fish, just let nature take its course.

You never know, you may find a friend that wants a cool fish. :) Pet stores will take donations too. Just talk to them about it first, before you bring the fish. They might have a section for your fry.

    Hahaha thanks TopPotts!

  4. Hey leave them if you male ferdilise (sory cant spell) them leave them. And if he dosent, Other fish will eat them

  5. Go Kenziee!

Since you don't have anything better, for now let them be.  If you want a possibility of saving any, carefully remove any other fish from the tank, including the other angel.  You can try to return it to the store for trade or credit.

Depending on the size of the angels, you could easily have over a thousand eggs.  My, my, where to keep and raise those kids.

If it's their first spawn, the eggs may not be fertile.  Or they may fungus.  The parents usually keep the bad eggs picked out.

After hatching, the parents will normally care for their fry, but if stressed or threatened may very well eat them.  With no place to raise them, this may be for the best anyway.

If you want to sell them, you will need to cull out the weak, runts, and deformed fish periodically as they grow.  That won't be easy even with only a couple hundred young.
