My african Grey seems to be obsessive/compulsive on l*****g.?

Question

When handling Max, he constantly licks:fingers,hands,ears,face,ect. When driving, he's on my shoulder with his beak buried in the back of my ear,l*****g.At first ,I thought it was nervousness,but he also does it at home when he's relaxed. Can anyone give me advice on how to stop this ?

This is how they relieve stress , mine does it when he ses people he doesn't recognize, as long as he isn't pulling his feathers out he should be ok, their taste buds r on the roof inside their beaks so he might also be tasting what is on him if you have a different smell on your hands when you touch him.
