Question:

My african cichlids keep breeding

They are in a huge tank with plenty of rocks, and babies show up all the time. But now, the biggest ones are getting chewed on and chased. It is so depressing. I want them to quit breeding!! Any advice?

  1. Seperate them.

  2. Only keeping all one s*x will prevent breeding.

    **

  3. Give them little cichlid vasectomies.  Or at the very least give them little chichlid condoms.

  4. if you put a male and female anything in the same area they will mate. its nature, and you can't stop it. all you can do is remove the males or females.

  5. to stop cichlids from breeding all you have to do is lower the tank temp drop it to 78 degrees and they will stop breeding

  6. Seperate them? Just sell/give the babies to your local pet store.

  7. TAKE OUT YOR MALE OR IF THERE IS MORE THAN ONE
