Question:

My aftermarket radio was stolen. the wires were cut and the actual housing thing was taken as well.?

Its in a 1994 Eagle Summit. could i just buy this:

as well as a radio and replace it myself? what do i have to do to replace the wiring etc.? i really dont want to have to take this to an auto mechanic. i really appreciate any help.

  1. buy the housing at walmart, but a wire harness, and a new radio.  Take the wires from the wire harness and match up the wires to the ones in your car already. then put your radio in the housing and use the metal prongs on the radio to attach it to the housing. then connect the wire harness to the back of the radio and s***w the housing back in to your dash.


  2. Good idea, but that will not fit the Summit.  Look under Mitsubishi which is what your actually is.  I believe the model is the Mirage.  If they cut the wires, you can splice the new stereo's wires into the wiring that is already there.

  3. You should be able to just by the adapter and just wire it yourself but you need to find the guide to match the wires up right.
