  1. I believe you are talking about a room aircond.

Get a technician to check the gas level. There may be a leaking.

It could be that the air compressor is down. Then, it's time to get yourself a new unit.

It may also be a switch or a contactor is burnt. This should be small money.

Whatever it is, I feel that you'll need a technician to fix it.

But, before you do that you can try to remove the filter of the aircond and wash away the dirt and dust which may be accumulated on it, which by itself could be causing blockage and in turn cause other problems to the equipment.  This is something which you should do regularly.

If you do not know how, get the technician to show you have the problem is fixed.

  2. Bettie,

Place a sheet of paper or dryer sheet in front of your suck vents and see if they suck in. Do the same for the out vents. See which ones are working. How long since you changed your filter? Is it possible you bumped a air vent and knocked it loose when you changed it? Have someone stand next to you system and turn your fan to on instead of auto and listen for it to kick on. Our system is in the attic and when I changed the filter once I knocked off a air duct crawling back down. I did not take me long to feel that he house was not cooling but the attic seemed cooler than normal. I started looking and used my trusty 2 dollar duck tape and wrapped it up tight and saved a 89.00 service call. If your unit is outside spray it off with the garden hose. That's what the service men do. If you find it is blowing just not cold air slice your meat thermometer inside one of the vents for about 15 mins and get a temperature. I seen a mechanic do that one time to a car, lol.

    Luck to You Bettie,

    Cheri'

  3. sounds like a freon problem.....  or should i say the lack of freon......

  4. its broken.

  5. The reason you don't feel any air is because the air is not cold enough for you to really feel and it seems like it's blowing very little. The reason it is not cold enough is because your compressor is probably not running.Check it out and call for service as needed.

  6. your blower fan might be out
