  1. The only way you can possibly make it colder is to make sure that outdoor unit coil is clean.

It may need refrigerant but would have to be determined by a tech.

It's not too bad of a temperature drop if the unit is a little undersized for your home.

It will always be better when the temps outside are lower.

The hotter it is the harder it will be to transfer the heat.

  2. Try changing the air filter.  Also, the display may not be correct.  It may actually be 77, but the meter is showing incorrectly.

  3. Your unit is working about right.

It might just not be able to handle that 105 Deg. temperature.

  4. Probably just too hot.

  5. From the description, I would say you are getting more than you should. Rule of thumb: 20 degrees below ambient. I would have to test the return/discharge temperatures for myself before I say you are having problems. I really don't think you are that far off to complain.

  6. The coil is not cold across it's entire surface. The liquid is boiling completely off in the first 1/8 of your coil.Low gas or bad metering device. If you can put your hand on the coil and feel for a temp difference across it.It should be cold all across it,not just at the beginning or top.

Or the head is way high and your suction is up as well.Make sure your condenser coil is clean and the fan is running.

Did it just suddenly start to not cool well?

    Or was it over time?

Take a reading at dusk and compare it to the one you already took.

  7. clean your condenser coil backflush it from the inside turn the power to it off pop the fan lid and wash it high pressure hose from the inside
