Just the other day, he has started to stutter really bad. Sometimes he stutters so bad that he can't say what he wants to say and gets so upset he cries. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice?

Thanks!!

  2. Have him see a speech therapist.

Allow him enough time to finish talking, don't finish his sentences for him (even though you want to!)

  3. my grandson did the same thing about that age, we would tell him to slow down and try again. this lasted for about a year but once he learned to stop and think about what he wanted to say he no longer stuttered. he was just trying to get the words out too fast.

  4. Ok, the most important thing to do is to not make a big deal out of it, I know your gonna have to have patients with this.  Your 3 year old will out grow it.

  5. it happens at that age it happened to my brother hes fine now

  6. One of my son's had some developmental delays, and we were able to enroll him into a special education pre-k from the public school to get him prepared for kindergarten. He was able to get occupational, and speech therapy. It really helped a lot, and being public it was free all he had to do was go talk to the teachers that evaluate if needed some extra help. It may be worth your while to look into this because if he is having a little trouble its better to do something early. My son was 4 at the time, but I'm sure they can help direct you if they feel he qualifies. It helped my son lots he is doing great, and entered Kindergarten last week.
