My alternater is bad if I don't use anything that would drain the battery will it last longer.?

The battery will last couple of minutes longer than running it with using lights etc. but still your spark plugs are working and other electronic systems are working so eventually your battery will drain...and with bad alternater...the battery doesnt last but only a couple of hours

If you don't use anything eg: radio, power options on your car, heater fan, etc you will be able to drive it longer.

However your battery is still going to drain eventually and your car is going to die.

You will need to get the alternator replaced.
