My amana electric dryer just gets warm,wont get hot,could it be the heating element?

  1. If it is not a power problem, probably one of the elements has burned out.


  2. It could be.... but also check the fuse box.... you might not be running on the full 220!!!

I thought for sure my heating element was going out  recently.the dryer felt warm but i'd have to turn the dryer back on at least twice before the clothes would dry.I looked at the outside vent and it was closed! when I opened it there was a ton of lint inside that I was able to pull out.the next time I did laundry the jeans and towels dryed in only a 60 minute cycle as they should.Hope that your problem is as easily sovled!
