The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 star shocked with his recent success at Stadio Olimpico Rome; hails his time spent at Stamford Bridge and Swansea City.
AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163, believes that his ambitious nature is driving him to success at Stadio Olimpico Rome.
The young striker has been a revelation since joining the Giallorossi on-loan from Parma before the start of the ongoing season. Borini has had a wonderful league campaign, having scored nine goals from 17 games for the capital
side so far. The 20-year-old has netted in his team’s last four league matches.
His impressive performances have forced Roma to buy 50 percent of his rights from Parma. Gli Azzurri boss, Cesare Prandelli, handed the youngster a debut in his national team in a friendly against USA recently.
The former Swansea City star is amazed with his performances for the Giallorossi, stating that he never thought of enjoying such success in a short time. After being asked on the recipe of his success, the short statured striker
insisted that his aim to achieve more, drives him to do good things.
Borini revealed that he learnt a lot during the time he spent in the English Premier League, and has no regrets for failing to make his mark at Stamford Bridge.
While talking to Roma channel, Borini said:
"I'm well here. I never thought I would adapt here so quickly. My secret? Surely my ambition. I always want to achieve something more. My task is to finalise what we construct all the way from the back, by the goalie. I was not
disappointed with my English experience: in those four years I think I gave everything and received all that I could have."
The diminutive striker was poached by Chelsea from Bologna’s youth setup, and went onto spend four years in London.
He had an impressive loan stint with Swansea last season, where he helped the club to return to the top flight. Borini scored six goals in 12 Championship appearances for the Swans.
AS Roma will take on Genoa in their next game at Stadio Olimpico Rome on Monday, March 19.
