My amp RCA cable has a small red wire coming off it?

my RCA cable for my amp has a small thin red wire coming off one end of it with the RCA connections. what is this for? it is a Fli amp wiring kit for amps up to 1500W.

its a remote wire to trigger the amp on

Some Rca's have a remote wire built into them. Its supposed to be for easy installation, but I wouldnt trust that thin guaged wire.
