  1. if your remote wire is pulliing 1.18 volts with the car on then there is your problem. it should allso be reading 11.8-13.6 vots with the car on. other than that, there is a possibility that the capacitor has discharged, or the connections are not correct. check that remote and make sure all connections are clean and secure.

  2. it sounds like someone COULD HAVE overcharged the capacitor.  or it was the wrong size for the amp. try rewiring the amp without the cap and see if it works. unless you are going through alot of batteries, you probably dont need a cap. a sound shop can test how much power your amp is drawing and tell you if you need one or not.

  3. honestly i dont think u need a 15 farad cap.. i had the same set up with a 1500 wat clarion and it workd fine.. rule of thum 1 farad to every 500 watts.. but there cud be a bad wire from ur battery to your cap.,. check that and it might be that its too much for one battery.. and honestly i dont like optima batteries they are to expensive and aint cracked up to what they say.. next time u need a battery go to auto zone or some where like that and jus ask them to put the biggest battery they can fit n ur car... will work jus as good and less money!
