My amp and sub is getting really hot!?

I got a Pioneer PRS-D4100F amp and hooked up to it i got, one 12 inch Pioneer shallow mount bridged in the first channels and my 2 rear speakers hooked up into the last channels. It's a 4 channel amp and I know I shouldn't have it hooked up like this but does anyone know why is might be overheating?

Why do you need a 4 channel amp? You are running only one sub lol so 4 channels is not necissary. That is most likely the reason for over heating.
