I have checked my remote wire, and its hooked up fine, which signifies why the amp is turning on. I have also checked every option inside my deck and nothing. I have a visonik 400w amp the V on top of the amp turns on but the green light on the side doesn't turn on. The green light signifies outputting power and the red light signifies its receiving power. Does that mean the amp is blown?

  1. speakers might be hooked up wrong

  2. You either have your speakers hooked up wrong, or it may be blown also. Check your speakers with another amp. If it's not playing, then it is blown. If it plays, then something is wrong with your amp. It probably could be blown.

  3. It doesn't necessarily mean its blown.  You could have a bad capacitor or transistor inside it.  Or if it is a multi channel amp, you could have a bad channel.  try opening the amp and seeing if there are any burn marks on it.  If so, time for a replacement.
