Question:

My amp keeps going into protect mode?

My power acoustik 1250 watt amp stays on for a lil bit but them when the bass hits hard it cuts off i check the following:

Ground Wire

RCA

REMOTE

SPEAKER

POWER(RED WIRE)

i hAVE A 4 GAUGE AMP KIT WITH A 60a FUSE

BUT I PLAYS FOR A LIL BIT THEN IT JUS CUTS OFF EVEN WHEN I TURN MY CAR OR THE SIDE AMP LIGHT TURNS RED I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO

  1. you checked everything except for what you should had looked at.

    first

    -know how you wired the subwoofers... so you can know the final ohm load at the amp. IF the amp is not stable under that ohm load, that is why it will go into thermal/protect mode.

    -check your final ohm load at the amp, and see if it is over-powering your subwoofers. only look at RMS power.

    -if you bridged the amp, check at what ohm load is stable for bridged mode. usually its 4 ohms. if the final ohm load at the amp is not what the specs call for, this might be your problem.

    -check your amp settings. never have any setting on MAX, and never have the gain/level higher than 3/4. this Will make the amp go into thermal/protect mode, and possible to blow fuses.

    AND STOP WRITING IN CAPITAL LETTERS
