Question:

My amp light stay on when the car is off?

does this mean its draining power from my battery? I hooked the remote wire up directly to the deck i that why its staying on? was I supposed to connect the blue wire in the back of the deck to the harness then hook up the remote wire?

  1. the blue remote wire HAS to be hooked up to a switched ignition lead. If not your amp will only turn off when your battery is dead :) if your decks one is screwed hook it up to any power wire (non airbag) that turns off with the key off. hope that helps


  2. the remote wire on the amp is wired to a full time 12 volt positive power source.. it need to be hooked to the remote wire off the head unit or a key switch controlled power source(off and on with the key).   this will shorten the life of the amp if it is not changed . and yes it will kill the battery..aswell
