  1. Make sure you tell absolutely everyone you meet out there about your ancestory, we love that. You'll need your North Face Jacket too.

  2. BANTRY is a really nice part of cork. U should really enjoy yourself. people are really nice. have a good time. check out the irish tourism website

  3. Bantry? Gorgeous place. That part of the country has a lot of foreigners living there, so don't be surprised if you meet a few odd accents. If the weather is nice there, it's glorious. Have a great time.

  4. Bantry, in the heart of West Cork, is a region of lush vegetation, palm trees and semi-tropical flowers. Hemmed in by high mountain ridges, an azure blue sea and cascading mountain streams, it is a place of unparalled beauty where the landscape changes with every mood of wind and sky.

  5. you will have a fab time' it is wonderful the people the food just fab you enjoy it.

  6. Bantry is lovely, apart from te really horrible new hotel they have just built.

  7. It is spelled Bantry and is in County Cork in the south west of Ireland.  This part of the country is milder and has a lot of vegetation which is not found further north.  West Cork has some terrific beaches, some small islands off the coast that you can visit and some really historic little places like Kinsale.

Look at a map and check out where you are staying if it is not in Bantry or Cork itself.  If you are in Dublin, a week is not that long but trains to Cork are very regular, almost every hour, and take about 3 hours and then a further journey from Cork city to Bantry.

Look at www.discoverireland.ie to see all you can do and see while you are here.
