My annoying neighbor?

I just bought condo. It's on the second floor. I am doing some interior upgrade (like painting, flooring, etc). My neighbor below me was complaining about the noise and called the cops over for 3 times. The HOA rule allows us to do the interior upgrade and I don't think carpeting and painting and changing doors will make such noise that violate the HOA rules. Anyway, I am going to moving to my new condo soon and I want to do something that annoy her. However, i am worry about she might do something back to my car. Unfortunately, my parking is next to her.

Wow. You need to be more responsible. You had my support until you wanted to do something revenge-like. Think about it: you are buying. Not renting. You will have this neighbor for a long time. You should say something to the condo association. They can mediate complaints because having the police around usually brings down home values and there is a unified interest in keeping house values up. IN that regard, you are increasing the value of your home by doing home improvement. You would find that the condo association would be on your side. They would likely speak with the neighbor reminding them that there are times of the day where some it does not have to 100 percent quiet. Reasonable times. I strongly advise against revenge. Most likely, your neighbor is simply ignorant of the homeowners association who would do alot more than police could. Talk to your homeowners association before getting vengeful.

What's the point in going out of your way to do something that will annoy her? That's ensuring that you're going to be bad neighbors for the whole time you live there. Better to see her and apologize for the noise the renovations are making, but assure her they are just about finished.
