My apartment is cable ready. It has cable jacks in every room. Comcast is in my area. Shouldnt I be able to get Comcast? Or could the complex have it wired to where I can only get cable through AT&T?

  1. it depends on which company services the complex.  ask your neighbors who they pay the bill to.  i dont usually see apt complelxes with more than one service provider.

if you are crafty, and you can find the box all cables should be trimmed out and ready to be plugged in (unless the complex is brand new).  it is possible to just open the box and then hook up all the cables in there so they dont know who did it.  and then everyone gets free cable.  (i am taking no liability for this.  it is possible but i wouldnt recommend it if you dont know the area or what you are doing.  again i am not liable if you try this)

  2. Sure it could if you want to pay for it, if your complex has comcast... they wont pay for you to have something else.. It will come out of YOUR pocket  if its even allowed... better check your lease... I know around where I live, everything is comcast as well and they cant even have satellite dishes!!!

  3. Cable ready only means that your apartment is wired for cable. You still have to subscribe to Comcast (or another service) in order to get it -- unless your complex offers the service as part of your rental deal.
