My apple trees didn't even blossom this year. Last year we had a bumper crop. Why would this happen?

  1. a frost/freeze in your weather prob did in the blooms... no blooms, no fruit.....if the tree is healthy , leafy and green otherwise, you'll just have to hope that next spring is not going to freeze it out.....

We had a similar problem with our peach tree this year.  We had to prop up the branches last year there were so many peaches.  This year we had  very few blossoms and therefore very few peaches.  People have told us (and I heard a horticulturist on TV say) that fruit trees may rest the year following a bumper crop.  So, we've been giving the peach tree lots of TLC and we trimmed some dead branches and we're crossing our fingers for next year.
