My aunt hates emo/goth/punk people HELP!!!!?

ok well me and my boyfriend are both emo but i live with my aunt who absolutely hates emo/punk/goth people how can i dress emo without it getting to her that i am and any tips on how i could break it to her that i am emo

Well, she's just going to have to accept you as you are. You might want to sit her down and tell her that you're not a bad person just because of your clothing. It's not some dangerous lifestyle, it's a fashion.

My mom got used to it simply because I started small...eventually my whole wardrobe turned goth! Not all black, but very dark.

I'm not sure how old you are, and though you are under her roof...you are who you are. You can't just change that to make her more comfortable.

why should you "have to" dress a certain way? Fads are overrated, don't waste your time and money trying to fit into a fad cultural trend, this Emo fad will go away soon enough, wear some proper fashionable clothes and look pretty, dont make yourself into a self made outcast.

i guess just dress how you want..its not really her choice, its yours. if it really starts affecting your relationship with her though maybe lighten up a little bit...after all you are living in her house.

when you grow up and look back at this though, you're going to have to laugh at how silly you looked during your "emo" phase because it does look pretty ridiculous.

In my opinion, if she really loves you she should accept you for who you are.
