  1. the freedom passes only apply to individual countries, not the whole of the UK ... so the Scottish one is for local buses in Scotland, the English one in England etc ... so she could use hers in Scotland to get to a ferry port to Ireland or to an airport in Scotland, but after that she'd have to pay

  2. The National Entitlement Card gives those resident in Scotland aged 60 or over, free travel on buses and coaches throughout Scotland and also into Carlisle and Berwick. This scheme pre-dates anything subsequently introduced in England or Wales.

Although it also applies to ferries for island dwellers, it does not apply to air services.

    So the answer is NO.

  3. No - the travel cards can ONLY be used on BUSES in the UK.

  4. sure,

    oyster is for every transport

  5. Not clear how she is travelling - flying or by boat or what type of travel card she has.

If you are referring to the new pensioner's bus pass, this is only available for travel in ENGLAND (not Scotland or Wales!) by BUS so could not be used in Scotland!!
