  1. You could try putting down some of his stools/substrate. They can find food anywhere, especially in a tropical environment, but familiar smells could possibly lure him back to the area. Good luck!

  2. Do you lose outside or inside?

Outside you can put a light, the sometimes are drawn to that along w/ it's greens, you'll see if he/she is eating the food. Check in trees. Check w/ neighbors if they've seen an iguana. You may want to inform shelters/human society also.

Inside put flour on the floor w/ light and food, w/ using the flour it will let you see tracks if he/she is roaming around the house, don't put like a gallon just a light dust. Check under furniture, but be careful when lifting/moving furniture. Check everywhere, night time is good w/ a flash light, easier in a way to see, and hopefully the iguana will sit still.

Hopefully you find him/her. When you do, please take to a vet to have looked over to make sure he/she didn't possibly eat anything bad.

  3. Was this iguana lost inside or outside.  I know it sounds silly but many homes have areas where pets can get lost inside.  If it was inside, try some very ripe fruit, so it can smell it, in a dish near the area it escaped at.  If it was outdoors, you will be very lucky to find it.  I would try the same outside, near areas where it would be able to sun itself.  I would also check in some areas of deeper grass and weeds, or near any water in the near area, as these places would offer the iguana some feeling of protection.  Best of luck!
