  2. I have to wonder after reading your question if she is planning on trying to hide the fact that the child is adopted, and not her biological child. I'm assuming that she is from India as well, and I know that in many other cultures adoption is taboo, anddone secretly. This is would explain the desire to adopt a newborn of the same ethnicity who is already in the US (as children adopted internationally are much older at placement.

It is not very common in the US for an Indian baby to be placed for adoption. On the off chance that she was to find an expectant mother whose child fit this description who was willing to go along with the adoption, it would be a VERY bad idea to keep the adoption a secret, so I hope she has good intensions and plans on respecting the childs identity by being truthful about the adoption.

  3. Angela R said it all.

  4. I'm afraid your Aunt is out of luck.  Indian babies are pretty much never available in the US.

  5. Indian with a dot, or a feather? Because each nationality try very hard to keep children within their own race.

  6. adoption baby .com or call 1800-adoption  or india adoption or adoption for india .com

  7. Tell your aunt that she isnt fit to adopt a child. Tell her to go to the humane society and get a puppy, one that came from an Indian family that couldn't take it back to India with them.

  8. Fries with that order?  medium or large?

    Seriously.

  9. Would your aunt like fries with that?  Maybe a milk shake?  Make sure she knows that there are matching outfits and cute little "I cost $30,000 and my Mom loves me!" onesies to show off her newest accessory!

  10. I wish people would stop treating children like products. ***SIGH***

ETA: WOW! Apparently there are people who think children SHOULD be treated like products!! OMG!! :o

  11. Does she have to be that picky?  If she was desperate she would take whatever is available.  There are hardly any Indian babies given up for adoption anyways.  You don't want a baby from a website. You need to go to an adoption agency.

  12. You didn't quite word your question correctly/tactfully, so I can see where people are getting mad.

The truth is when you go to an adoption agency and fill out your paperwork - you can specify which race you prefer and whether you want a domestic or international adoption.  Tell her to contact an agency she is comfortable with and talk with them about her options.

    1-800-adoptions is a good one.
