  1. Your aunt is living in a village. Ignore her.

  2. don't listen to your aunties, some aunties are just making up things!!!

  3. lolz............

    sorry sis!

but I actually laughed at an answer that said

'don't listen to your aunties some only make up stories!'

I think that's true that some aunties make up stories and I have some aunties like that too that said jinns are coming out of toilets.......so no offense!

Serious: there are jinns kinda things but I dn't know of Hadiths or verses of Qur'an that says about jinns in places that you mentioned!

and some typical old wife tale do say about jinns in deserted areas like wood and jungles.

  4. Jinn don't harm you unless you call out for them.

  5. I am a jinn, I'm going to come and live with you for opening this question....yeeehaaaaaa...

  6. The Qur’an and Sunnah indicate that jinn exist, and that there is a purpose for their existence in this life, which is to worship Allah Alone with no partner or associate. Allah Almighty says: “And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans, except they should worship Me (Alone).” (Adh-Dhariyat: 56)

    The dwelling-places of the jinn

The jinn live where we do live on this earth. They are mostly to be found in ruins and unclean places like bathrooms, dunghills, garbage dumps and graveyards. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us to take precautions when entering such places, by reciting the adhkar (mentioning Allah’s Name) prescribed by Islam.

One of these are reported by Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) who says: “When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the toilet, he would say, 'Allahumma inni a`udhu bika min al-khubuthi wal-khaba’ith (O Allah, I seek Refuge with You from all offensive and wicked things [evil deeds and evil spirits]).'”

    Protection from harm of jinn

Because jinn can see us while we cannot see them, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us many ways to protect ourselves from their harm. They are seeking refuge of Allah from the accursed shaytan, reciting surat Al-Falaq and surat An-Nas, and reciting the words taught by Allah in the Qur’an. Allah Almighty says, “And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones. And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me.” (Al-Mu’minun: 97-98)

Saying Bismillah (in the Name of Allah) before entering one’s home, eating or drinking, and having intercourse will keep Satan from entering the house or partaking with a person in his food, drink and sexual activity. Similarly, mentioning the name of Allah before entering the toilet or taking off one’s clothes will prevent the jinn from seeing a person in a state of undress or harming him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of be upon him) says: “To put a barrier that will prevent the jinn from seeing the `awrah of the sons of Adam, let any one of you say ‘Bismillah’ when entering the toilet.” (Reported by At-Tirmidhi)

  7. jinns are physical entity,,but not like humans,,how they live what they do for living, what realm they are living in we don not know according to Glorious Quran,,however there are Muslim jinns, and the jins belong to other religions..

i really wonder if they enter bath rooms,,but if that is the case according to your aunty then men should also be carefull as their should be female jinns !!

  8. The Jinn are beings created with free will, living on earth in a world parallel to mankind. The Arabic word Jinn is from the verb 'Janna' which means to hide or conceal. Thus, they are physically invisible from man as their description suggests. This invisibility is one of the reasons why some people have denied their existence. However, (as will be seen) the affect which the world of the Jinn has upon our world, is enough to refute this modern denial of one of Allah's creation. The origins of the Jinn can be traced from the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Allah says:

"Indeed We created man from dried clay of black smooth mud. And We created the Jinn before that from the smokeless flame of fire"

        (Surah Al-Hijr 15:26-27)

Thus the Jinn were created before man. As for their physical origin, then the Prophet (saws) has confirmed the above verse when he said: "The Angels were created from light and the Jinn from smokeless fire" [1]. It is this description of the Jinn which tells us so much about them. Because they were created from fire, their nature has generally been fiery and thus their relationship with man has been built upon this. Like humans, they too are required to worship Allah and follow Islam. Their purpose in life is exactly the same as ours, as Allah says:

"I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me"

        (Surah Ad-Dhariyat 51:56)

Jinns can thus be Muslims or non-Muslims. However, due to their fiery nature the majority of them are non-Muslims. All these non-Muslim Jinns form a part of the army of the most famous Jinn, Iblis- the Shaytan[2]. Consequently, these disbelieving Jinns are also called Shaytans (devils). As for the Jinns who become Muslims, then the first of them did so in the time of the Prophet (saws) when a group of them were amazed by the recitation of the Qur'an. Allah orders the Prophet to tell the people of this event:

"Say (O' Muhammed): It has been revealed to me that a group of Jinn listened and said; 'Indeed we have heard a marvellous Qur'an. It guides unto righteousness so we have believed in it, and we will never make partners with our lord'"

        (Surah Al-Jinn 72:1-2)

In many aspects of their world, the Jinn are very similar to us. They eat and drink, they marry, have children and they die. The life span however, is far greater then ours. Like us, they will also be subject to a Final Reckoning by Allah the Most High. They will be present with mankind on the Day of Judgement and will either go to Paradise or h**l.

The ability to possess and take over the minds and bodies of other creatures is also a power which the Jinn have utilised greatly over the centuries. This however, is something which has been prohibited to them as it is a great oppression to possess another being. Human possession is something which has always brought about great attention. But the true knowledge of this subject is rare amongst the people. Over the last 3 decades the subject of possession has become very commercialised. During the 70's films such as The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby were used to educate people about possession. However, because such institutions (the film industry) were heavily influenced by Christianity, knowledge of the subject was non-existent. Rather then educate people about Jinn possession, films such as The Exorcist just tended to scare the living daylights out of us![3] Only through Islam can we understand such a phenomena. We know as Muslims, that Jinns possess people for many reasons. Sometimes it is because the Jinn or its family has been hurt accidentally. It could be because the Jinn has fallen in love with the person. However, most of the time possession occurs because the Jinn is simply malicious and wicked. For this reason we have been told by the Prophet (saws) not to loiter in those places where the Jinns reside, e.g. graveyards, ruins, deserts, market places etc. We have also been commanded to recite the Qur'an frequently in our houses as the Prophet (saws) said: "Indeed, the shaytan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah (the 2nd chapter of the Qur'an) is recited" (reported by al tirmidhi and declared as authentic)

  9. I was always told that if you say Bismillahi rahmani raheem before entering a house, it'll get rid of all the jinn. And if a person prays everyday and keep the Qur'an in the house, that also helps keep jinn away.

And the deserted areas----yes, maybe they do live there, but again, maybe that's just something she said to keep you away from walking near those places, because they are unsafe.

Not to be rude or say anything offensive----but is it possible that your aunty tells you that to make sure that bathroom has a tidy appearance? I'm just curious since it seems kind of random that jinn will be living in the toilet and then randomly pop out.

  10. I don't know

  11. My aunty even told me at night pigs fly.

    Word.

  12. I think that is false.

Ask your aunty if any jinn has ever pinched her in the bottom when she sat on the toilet?

  13. Germs live in the toilet. And no, if you was your hands they won't come out.

Leprechauns are believed to live in the woods. But they aren't real. There has been as much evidence of Leprechauns' existence as Jinns'.

  14. That's not true.

  15. Ummmm I dont know but my grandma told me as long as you pray then the jinns will stay out of your house. Also, do not go outside alone at nighttime. Jinna are there m according to my grandma. One more thingL if you burn that black stuff you put under your barbecue, that keeps jinns away. Burn it and take it outside and around your house.

    Salaam.

  16. jinns do exist.

They all live like human does but we dont see them nor do they see us. They exist in places where less people are.

There is a shai6an in the toilet called shai6an his name is wala2h and say the thing you say to keep jinn away before entering the bathroom "a3ooth bikalimat allah iltamant mn il 5ibth wa ala5aba2th" and Allah would be with you.

If you dont believe ask a scholar from Islam school.
