My available deposite is different from my real balance?

I have a student saving account with bank of America and my available deposite is $150 less than my real deposite. I dont know why its like that.

you must have a payment in "clearing" staus.

The bank will withhold until payment is verified.

(and they play with it a while longer on the market)

The difference is the "amount waiting to be cleared".  The clearance time may be anywhere from 1 day to 5 days (some times more).  BoA is notorious for these kind of petty tricks so that they can bounce you checks and collect more fees.  It's not that other banks are saints either./
