My azalea bush was crowded out by weeds, and now it is half dead. Will it come back?

I pulled out most of the weeds, and broke off must of the dead wood, but now it looks pretty rough. There are still a few branchs with leaves, and there are leaves growing out of the bottom.

Hi..........What you've done is great......we all need a little pruning at times......food and water.......and face lift......some good light fertilizer.....kick back and let it grow. Do a little tender work around it........first.......they like to feed up on the top more than some plants............in the area where I live they also enjoy a little bark around them.....sounds like your just about there...........have fun.......I like to give my plants oriental prunings........I usually layer them in 3's(different heights) bye
