My baby's appetite is decreasing. He's a big boy - 15lb at 8 weeks, and 2 weeks ago had 7 bottles a day, now 6

and sometimes 5. Did your baby start to feed less once they settled into a pattern?

  1. Yes sometimes their appetite will decrease then increase its perfectly normal. Wow 15lbs my son is 4 n a half months and 13 pounds. they say once they get to 15lbs you can give baby food but they must also be older at the 4 month age. He probably will slow done for awhile then increase again in a few weeks. Some day my son has 4oz bottles every 3 to 4 hours then some days he has 6oz bottles ever  3 to 4 hours.


  2. baby's appetites will vary, at the moment he's stabilising at 5 to 6 bottles, but with growth spurts you'll find he's demanding more feeds a day or more milk per feed. make sure he's opening his bowels regularly and that his stools are a normal colour and consistency, and that he doesn't have a temperature, and you'll know he's fine! any questions, talk to your health visitor.
